In a 2 cup Pyrex measuring cup add:
1 cup of whole milk 1/4 cup of lemon-honey Heated to about 110 degrees
Add:
1 packet of yeast Allow to bloom 10 minutes
Meanwhile in the bowl of your stand mixer with dough hook (or large mixing bowl) add:
3 cups of All Purpose Flour (may require 4 depends of moisture) Zest of two lemons 1 tsp of salt
Pour wet ingredients into dry and add:
1 egg Juice of one lemon
Knead until combined and pulls from the bowl.
Form into a smooth ball and place into lightly oiled bowl and cover with a kitchen towel.
Allow to rise for 45 minutes
Punch down and roll into a 12×12 square.
Spread with-
Butter, granulated sugar, lemon zest and lemon honey
Roll and slice into 12 equal pieces.
Allow to rise another 45 minutes
Bake 13-14 minutes at 350
Topped with
8oz cream cheese
4 Oz salted butter
1.5 cups of powdered sugar
Juice of one lemon
